The following message is from the Cross Country Coach:
If you student is interested in running cross-country this year, please read the following information. Cross-country is open to 5th through 12th graders.
It is time for our training to begin! Please keep in mind that, though it is summer, these practices are for our regular training season. Though there is flexibility on a per case situation, these practices are required. The following will be our schedule.
Begin Wednesday, July 6th
Every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
8:00am to 10:00am (*We will BEGIN at 8, so please arrive a few minutes early*)
For these practices, the athlete needs to bring a large beach towel, a wash cloth, bottled water, AND a Gatorade or Propel (NOT the G-2, but the original stuff!) It will be HOT and HUMID. The kids will need to replenish the nutrients and salt they will be losing, not just the water. To save money, we buy the powdered Gatorade and mix our own.
On Aug. 1st and 3rd, we will have the AM practice continued from July.
RCA begins August 4th, so we will take a SHORT break from practice to allow the kids time to get settled in to their school routine.
Practice will resume on Monday, August 15th, with the following schedule.
Monday - Tuesday
Middle School 3:15 to 5:00
High School 3:15 to 5:30
At my home – 641 Old Huntsville Rd, Fayetteville, TN
Middle School 3:30 to 4:30ish (depending on the runner and the workout)
High School 3:30 to 5:00ish (depending on the runner and the workout)
