From our Cross Country Coach:
If you have an athlete who is interested in running cross country next fall, I will be offering off season training. This is an excellent opportunity for your athlete to "test the waters" of cross country to see if there is an interest.
Training will be at the school on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15 until 5:00, beginning this week. We will meet in the chapel to begin our workouts. We will focus on over all conditioning, flexibility, running techniques and form, and breathing. For the most part we will be in the school. If the weather permits, we will run outside for the last 30 to 40 minutes.
The running we do will not be something to be intimidated by. We will be focusing on proper form and breathing, not distance and speed.
Cross country is open to students 5th grade and above. If your athlete is interested in attending, please email me so I know who to expect.
